A Note from Our President!

Remember not only does a full year of events kick off but our fiscal year does as well. Please take a second to pay your alumnae dues of 50.00, they can be paid online through our website (under the shop section) or by sending a check to our treasurer, contact Debbie at geryg@sbcglobal.net for details.

I look forward to see you all at an event soon!

Erin

The Alumnae Chapter is selling shirts to pair with the Sacramento Founder's Day Walk to raise funds for our chapter. A small order has been placed to see where the most interest lies in sizes and styles. The design is the same as what the Zeta Delta Chapter used two years ago. Each shirt is $25 and will be available for purchase or delivery at a variety of events and locations in the upcoming weeks. Email or see Deanna Heuring at events to get yours. If you would like to participate in the St. Louis Alumnae Chapter's local walk on October 22, email Erin Risk at erinrisk@hotmail.com.

Our next book club meeting will be September 29, NOT Sept. 22 as listed on the original schedule, so be sure to change the date on your calendar! We will be hosted by Geri Specker, and Vicki Helling will lead the discussion of The Boys in the Boat, by Daniel James Brown. This book is about the 1936 Olympic American men's rowing team, and is a timely story. Details and directions to come later.  Many of you know that Patsy Henderson has moved to "new digs" on Dougherty Ferry. She is now planning to hostess our January 26, 2017 meeting, so it will be a great time to visit her and see her new home!  We still are looking for discussion leaders for the November 17, 2016 book Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan, and the Sept 28, 2017 book The Nightengale by Kristan Hannah. If you would like to volunteer to lead discussion for either book, please contact Nancy Mattingly, (636) 399-2900 or at grand.nancy@yahoo.com.
