Happy May! May has become very green and colorful here. The trees are covered in fat leaves and the flowering bushes are an array of vibrant pinks, yellows and more. The purple irises are in full bloom and this week the red roses started to bud. All these colors warm my heart and make me smile, like these lovely ladies below. Painted with gouache, they are called "Art Deco Babe" and "Colorful Smile". |

Started by a friend, these virtual markets on Facebook bring together small business owners, like myself, to sell their products, crafts and services in a shared space. The markets include many unique and one-of-a-kind products, plus sales, discounts and live streamed events. For my live streamed events, I demonstrate my art process. Watch as a blank canvas or a sketchbook page changes into a piece of art. Sadly, the May virtual market was cancelled and will be rescheduled, but I still have two more summer dates on the calendar. New Pieces! Below are peeks at a couple of new pieces I made this month. The first is a gouache, called "Blue Cool" and the second is an oil pastel, called "Beauty in Browns". |

Cards in the Making! I am in the process of creating a new product: card sets. Each card has a unique one-of-a-kind abstract design painted on Japanese print paper attached to the face of the card. Each set contains 4 blank cards with matching envelopes. Purchasers have the choice of getting a card set on either white or brown card stock. All cards in the set measure 5 x 7". Sets will be $20 each. Stay tuned for more info coming this summer. |
