JEZU, UFAM TOBIE (‘Jesus, I trust in You’.) Today is sometimes also called Divine Mercy Sunday: The Divine Mercy is a devotion to Jesus associated with his appearances to and conversations with the Polish Saint Faustina Kowalska (1905-1938) as recorded in her diary and other writings. Jesus is the one who brings to us the mercy of God, and in this Easter season we look to him through whose divine mercy we are reconciled and saved.

ELECTORAL ROLL REVISION Our official membership register, known as the Electoral Roll, is being revised from this Saturday until Monday 9 May. If you are already on the roll you need do nothing. If you are not and are a regular here, we strongly encourage you to join. If you are unsure, please ask Emma Jeffery - emma@stmarysilford.org.uk. MARCEL FIRTH We are delighted to hear that Marcel’s second stage panel for ordained ministry will take place this July. Please continue to keep him in your prayers at this pivotal time in the church’s discernment of his vocation.

NEXT SUNDAY Fr Gareth will be speaking about some important matters regarding our parish and the household of faith at St Mary’s. This will be a precursor to the APCM at the end of May and the expected retirement of several of our key church officers. We ask that you please be in church that day so that you can take part in the initial discussions about the future of our church.

MIRFIELD RETREAT The final instalment of the payment for this retreat is due by next Sunday. If you are yet to pay the full balance, please let Marcel have a cheque or cash. There are still some places left - please speak to Marcel if you would like to join.
