The inaugural issue takes a meandering cheese stroll through the markets of Milan, on a sensory dive with a beer and cheese pairing from Lembeek, to Devonshire, on teenage cheese discoveries, a journey of the manchego chain from farmer to academic, and to a farm in Chennai making tomme and exploring the true concept of terroir. It also includes a cheese playlist.
The magazine is full of illustrations and photography, which bring the issue to life, by artists including Reena Makwana, Olivia Waller, photographers Robert Billington and Patricia Niven, and iIllustrator Ben Jones captures the sense of history that cheese has, as well as the joy, with the bright cover.

This issue also delves into the politics of ‘eating local’ when it comes to cheese, the British love for supermarket cheddar, the global queer cheese community, and a childhood search for Fillipino cheese.
