Yoo hoo!! (...big summer blowout!!!!) Happy Newsletter Friday! Welcome to those of you who are reading this for the first time and welcome back to those returning! THE POLL RESULTS: Well, this week was another first! Something happened that doesn't usually happen... a write it did surprisingly well! One platform did win but, there is a tie for second between TikTok, and Snapchat (a write-in!!). Before I announce the winner I have an honorable mention that garnered a few votes as well: "My name is Stacy George and I hate social media". |

Snap that pic... and post it! IT'S Instagram! Instagram won first by a hair! Can Instagram stay at the top of their game? Time will tell! Want to participate in the next poll? Scroll down to partake! |

IN THE HEADLINES: Are you tired of all the constant headlines popping up on your phones? Does the news sometimes ruin the day? Here is a place where you can find uplifting, fun, and good news from people in our own community. Keep looking to your own life headlines for a smile! |

Featured Headlines: - "I built a pillow fort and I got Lady Gaga Oreos!"
- "I became the Vice President of my sorority"
- "We had a snow day"
- A lot of people - All over
I am really excited about these Oreos. You have no clue how iconic they are. Go Izzy, proud of you! Finally, a snow day is always fun! Our news might be small but, it was good news! Want to be featured "In the Headlines"? Share your breaking news here to have the chance to be in the next newsletter! OTHER NEWS: The project I was talking about in last newsletter has an exciting update! It is ALMOST done, not quite there yet, BUT almost there nonetheless. I can't wait to share this with you come mid-march! If you are curious (I mean I would be), some old newsletters may have snippets and clues of the project scattered in them and there are some teasers on my social media. The release date and more teasers to come so, stay tuned! January is over! What a wild month and arguably one of my least favorite months of the year. This stretch of the pandemic will be hard but, we will just have to take it day by day. Additionally, we did start February with a big snowstorm here at headquarters. If you can, find some time to go out and play (or stay in and play). Everyone needs time to play! |

Alex's Book Corner I am currently reading: - Educated by Tara Westover
- The Nickel Boys by Colson Whitehead
What I have read these past few weeks: - Play: How it Shapes the Brain, Opens the Imagination, and Invigorates the Soul by Stuart Brown, M.D.
- I enjoyed reading this a lot and if you feel like you forgot how to or just want to read about it, would recommend. Play is important! It gave words to a lot of thoughts I've been having. (5 stars)
- A Promised Land by Barak Obama
- He is long-winded but, I loved reading every bit of it. Some parts were slower than others. Either way, looking forward to volume II! (5 stars)

Snapchat was really the unlikely winner!! Now it is time for a poll brought to you by Erin (NY). What is the best type of oreo?! I know this is controversial but, double stuf is not good. One more thing: Want to see your poll question in the newsletter? Submit your ideas here! |
