December 13th Call Speaker

This month, our call speaker was branding and marketing strategist Moti Elkaim who presented his topic entitled, "The Power Pitch".

During his presentation, we learned how to master a personal power pitch and get prospects hooked on a value proposition right from the start. From messaging simplification to the principles of elevator pitching, he covered all of the techniques that help craft a power pitch.

Moti Elkaim is a branding and marketing strategist who has led various brands to global expansion. His career has spanned industries like luxury goods, CPGs, and – primarily in the past decade – technology. In his roles he scaled brands to over $200M in annual sales and grew tech startups from freemium model sales to millions of dollars in ARR.

Some of his recent roles are, CMO at Copilot.cx, VP of Marketing at Carbyne and VP Marketing at OSA. After helping many founders successfully raise funds, Moti, a storyteller by nature, launched Atlantic Brands which helps companies with investor pitching and fractional CMO services.

Lastly, he is a Medium top writer on the topics of fundraising and startups.

Meet this month’s POWER PLAYER: Pressie Shamah!

Pressie Shamah's incredible journey, from Morocco to the United States, is truly inspiring. Having moved to Israel at 5, her entrepreneurial spirit ignited at 18 upon moving to the US. Today, she owns a thriving chain of beach clothing and souvenir stores across North and South Carolina, ranging from 7000 to 12,000 square feet.

Armed with a degree in interior design and visual merchandising, Pressie has elevated her stores to the pinnacle of aesthetic excellence. In 2008, she navigated the real estate market crash, turning challenges into opportunities by purchasing and renovating homes for resale.

Pressie's ventures extend beyond retail and real estate. In 2020, she acquired a mini-golf operation in Myrtle Beach, SC, and launched a candy store brand, now the area's top sweet spot.

Despite her success, Pressie remains committed to philanthropy. Supporting the Myrtle Beach SC Chabad and aiding families in need in Israel, she also dedicates fundraisers to Help 4 Kids in memory of her late husband, Issac. Pressie's mantra emphasizes the importance of accumulating wealth over time, acknowledging the empowerment it brings, making her a beacon of inspiration and generosity. As she aptly puts it, "It's a crucial consideration for women to contemplate: the significance of accumulating wealth over time, recognizing the passage of years and the empowerment it brings."
