Transform 1012 N. Main Street is transforming

the former Ku Klux Klan Auditorium in Fort Worth, TX into

The Fred Rouse Center for Arts and Community Healing, named

after a Black butcher who was lynched by a White mob in 1921.

Dear Friends & Supporters of Transform 1012 N. Main Street,

This is an historic moment – both for Fort Worth and our country.

Transform 1012 N. Main Street is more than a project to acquire a site with a vexed history – we believe that transforming 1012 N. Main Street into The Fred Rouse Center for Arts and Community Healing will inspire other cities to think in terms of reparative justice when contemplating how to address violent and hidden histories.

Since announcing our purchase of 1012 N. Main Street three weeks ago, media outlets have covered this project over thirty-five times with an estimated audience of over one million people, demonstrating the widespread interest in this movement.

We invite you to join this journey by following us on social media and encouraging your circles to follow us as well:
