There are plenty of opportunities for you to get involved and/or hang out with fellow Marines.

Anyone is welcome to attended our meetings. If you are wanting to become a member (Marines, FMF Corpsmen, or Chaplains who served with fleet Marine units) please bring a copy of you DD214, and $25 (prorated amount at this time) for annual Dues. If you are anyone else wishing to join as an associate member (family members, members of the community, etc) you only need to believe in our mission and pay the annual Dues of $25. We will have all new members completed the simple application and we conduct swearing in ceremonies at every meeting.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Congratulations to the recipient of the Sgt Johnny Robertson Scholarship, Ms Jordan Jones. Since our next meeting will be just days before school starts, we invited Jordan and her mom to attend a small meet and greet with our Detachment Commandant, Scholarship Committee, along with Sgt Johnny Robertson's wife Linda Robertson and their two daughters.

The Detachment Commandant presented Jordan with a "big check" in the amount of the Scholarship. Jordan will be attending the University of Oklahoma this fall for nursing, and aspires to become a Neonatal Nurse. We wish Jordan the best of luck in the pursuit of here educational goals.

Through our scholarship program this year we were able to award two $1500 scholarships, plus we donate $500 to the Marine Corps League, Department of Texas, Cam Posey scholarship fund. Unfortunately we had no applicants for our third third scholarship.

Our ability to support the educational aspirations of Marines, Corpsmen, and/or their family members is thanks to the contributions of our generous contributors. If you would like to support the Marine Corps League, LCpl Jacob D Hayes Scholarship program, you can donate directly to the fund.

246TH MARINE CORPS BIRTHDAY BALL

TICKETS ARE ON SALE NOW!

We look forward to being able to share this Marine Corps tradition again after having to cancel last year.  Again we are inviting the local community to join us for this elegant evening of rich military history, tradition, and ceremony.

The Marine Corps Birthday Ball is our biggest event of the year and serves the purpose of carrying on history and tradition. The Ball also serves as a major fundraising event for the Collin County Marine Corps League.  Funds raised through this event assist us in our mission of supporting local Marines, FMF Corpsmen, and their families.  It also allows us to support other veteran initiatives that are in line with our mission.  For far this year the Marine Corps League of Collin County has provided financial assistance to several Marines, supported the Homeless Veterans Services of Dallas, donated to erecting the Gold Star Families Memorial Monument in Frisco, and awarded scholarships to local students. Funds raised by the detachment also helped support our Toys For Tots campaign, that provided a Christmas to over 21,000 children in Collin County this past season during the pandemic.

We are currently seeking sponsors.  Categories are already selling out. For more information about the Marine Corps League, the Marine Corps Birthday Ball or sponsoring this unique event and supporting Marines, FMF Corpsmen, their families plus other veteran initiatives please contact Noe DeLeon. Phone: (214) 207-9093 email: Noe@NoeDeLeon.com or Nathan Hanson. Phone 940-390-7992  email: Admin@CollinMCL.org

The members of the Marine Corps League, LCpl Jacob D. Hayes Detachment hope to enjoy your presence on November 13th at the Hilton at Granite Park.  We look forward to sharing this sacred Marine Corps tradition with our community once again.  Thank you for your time and support of the Marine Corps League, LCpl Jacob D. Marines and FMF Corpsmen, we would like to invite all who live in Collin County to join. As is usually true with the Marine Corps, we are the few, but proud; and it should come as no surprise that we are able to accomplish more with less. We are an active detachment, and there are various ways to serve. The easiest way to join is to just attended a meeting, bring a copy of your DD214 (or proof of service), and $42 for annual dues. We will have you fill out the simple application before the meeting starts.

Associate Members

We cherish the input and contributions of our Associate Members. This are members of the community who were not Marines or FMF Corpsmen, but who are interested in our mission and serving along side of us to make a difference in the community we serve. There are very few things that Associate Members can not do in the Marine Corps League. Associate Members can serve in certain officer roles, on committees, have a voice in what we are doing. If you are interest in joining the ranks of the Marine Corps League as an Associate Member just attend a meeting or email us for more information: Admin@CollinMCL.org

Donations help us accomplish our mission of serving local Marines, FMF Corpsmen, and their families, plus other initiatives we support such as our scholarship program, Toys For Tots, other veteran aid and more. Your donation to the Marine Corps League is tax deductible, and greatly appreciated.
