👏 Queen's House Takeover 👏

Thank you to Queen's House at the National Maritime Museum for inviting us to takeover your stunning venue for a truly special day celebrating Refugee Week and the theme of 'Our Home'. The Queen's House had 400 more visitors over the day than usual and more diverse than a regular Sunday!

At a place of female power, we shared our work and through different activities, reflected on what home means for us. Home can remind us of the past, of what we have left but home can also be what we are building here every day, how we want to feel and how we want to live. As one of our members said: "home is here with everyone".

We could not have done it without our wonderful, dedicated team, Karen, Lian, Aldjia, Lucie, Fatiha, Felicia, Khadidja, Binta, and Ijeoma. Thanks to Luca Silvestrini for an inclusive dance workshop, to Erene for an inspiring forum theatre session, to Lucie for an excellent languages workshop and to Lydia Powel and Anna Maguire for organising a powerful Stronger Together exhibition.

💃🏽 There and Here - A Celebration 💃🏽

What a pleasure to be part of Protein’s annual Refugee Week event at Woolwich Works, celebrating the contribution and resilience of refugees, people seeking asylum and allies.

It was a wonderful day of dancing, singing, eating and connecting with so many organisations across Greenwich.

🌺 Racialized migrants navigating the UK Hostile Environment - Symposium Event 🌺

Thanks to Professor Tracey Reynolds and University of Greenwich for bringing together all the authors of a special themed issue of the Critical Social Policy featuring our article "Migrant Women becoming stronger together through the arts: Creating Ground".

It was a day of thought-provoking presentations and learning about inspiring work: so much to reflect on and act upon.

It was an honour to be invited to the NHS Confed Expo in Manchester to share our experience of co-production with South London Listens and what it means for us to be a Be Well Hub thanks to Citizens UK.

What a nice experience, to see so many people coming together for a shared and common interest.

🎊 PAR Knowledge Exchange and Community Engagement Workshop 🎊

Thanks to Professor Tracey Reynolds, University of Greenwich for inviting us to run a creative evaluation workshop as part of the Knowledge Exchange event showcasing al the projects awarded under the Participatory Action Research funding.

It was again the demonstration of the importance of bringing people from different fields, with different experiences and perspectives together, to share, learn from each other and collaborate removing barriers, labels and fears.

🎊 Creative Health Toolkit 🎊

Fantastic to have our work on improving healthcare services for migrant women featured as an Illustrative Example as part of the Creative Health Toolkit initiative, which has been developed in partnership by The National Centre for Creative Health (NCCH), NHS England Personalised Care Team and Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) across England.

🌿 Creatively Together Second Trip 🌿

We had our second trip out as part of our Creatively Together project to visit Sky Gardens! Thanks to our wonderful DLR Community Ambassador Jacqueline and to Groundwork & KeolisAmey Docklands Community Grant our group has been able to explore new areas of London.

"It was a fantastic experience. I was really excited to be honest going somewhere new. The view of central London was amazing, seeing all the iconic buildings from a different perspective and angle... I always had to look up, but I was looking down seeing its beauty."
