Lighting Candles of Gratitude

Since today is the last day of the month, I am getting this November Newsletter out just in the nick of time! Most of my family knows that November is my second favorite month of the year, (I mean, how can any month beat out December? It's CHRISTMAS!) The reason it's my second favorite is because we celebrate our anniversary on the 1st, my birthday is on the 21st and we get to enjoy spending time with family over the Thanksgiving holiday. It is a month filled with joy, love and gratitude!
The beautiful thing about gratitude is that it is free. It can be given away with reckless abandonment. There are no limits in being thankful for the many blessings we have around us. It provides healing for the soul to be able to find gratefulness in the midst of challenging circumstances, things of which we all face on a daily basis.
So might I encourage all of us to look beyond our current situations and find one thing we can be grateful for. Regardless if our finances are bleak, or our family is driving us a little coocoo for coco puffs, or we're just disgusted by the elections and all of the evil in the world, please, let's take a moment to find something in life that we can be thankful for because when we choose to ignite the wick of a candle it brings light and extinguishes the darkness. Our lives are too short to hang around dark places and we must continue to light those candles of gratitude!
