Summer Highlights

Summer is somehow over already! Thankfully, it feels like summer year-round here. Summer was a great season of ministry in Belize. In July I went to my first Belize pastor's retreat. It was a fun, refreshing time for many pastors and it was a great opportunity for me to spend time with the pastors and their families in a different environment.

I also had my first team come to Belize in July. We painted the preschool at Central Christian School and did a kids camp with some of the ChildHope students from the same school. It was an amazing few days at camp! I am still amazed at all that God did at camp. I loved seeing the kids leaving behind their family responsibilities and hardships and playing carefree and seeing them experience God during services. We spent time learning how to use the Bible, committing our lives to God, and seeking the Holy Spirit. It was a great week and I am looking forward to hosting more teams in 2023 to make an even bigger impact in Belize. If your church is interested in bringing a team to Belize, send me an e-mail!

Check out some camp highlights in the video below.

School Begins!

School in Belize started in September which means ChildHope is busy getting supplies, backpacks, and uniforms out to all the kids. It also means CREW Kids is open! A few weeks ago I started the after-school club again with an emphasis on math, reading, STEM, and, of course, the Bible.

One of our ChildHope schools invited me to speak in chapel during their spiritual emphasis week. It was fun to teach on their theme of "Shine Your Light" and see them sing and praise God with traditional songs and instruments.

KidMin Training

In the past few weeks, I have been invited to two churches to observe their children's ministry programs and make suggestions. Both churches have a huge heart for kids and are eager to do even more for the kids and communities. I will also do training for their children's ministry volunteers soon to ensure we are all doing the very best we can to reach kids in Belize. I have loved seeing how these churches are investing in their communities!
