As we say goodbye to 2021 and welcome a new year on the farm, we wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you for your support and patronage over the past few months. Happy New Year from our family to yours! From left: Rowan (17), Abram (9 mo.), Kieran (old enough), Maeve (9 mo.), Breana (older than she looks), and Finley (21). |

If you’re driving by, be sure to wave to Little Jolene. She is the little black and white oreo cow often snuggled into the hay. To maintain their normal body temperature of 101F, Little Jolene and all the other cows, have developed their thick winter coats and put on a little weight (just like the rest of us). The cows also increase their metabolic rate, which is why they need extra hay. We get our hay bales from the Lapierre Farm on Rt. 116. Fun fact, each one weighs about 1,200 pounds! |

While the shortest day of the year has passed, the chickens are still not getting the 14 hours a day of light they need to produce an egg each day. That means that even though we have 120 laying hens, we only get about 10 eggs a day. So for the next few months, we still won’t have eggs for sale. |

After we announced our 2022 CSA program last month, you all wasted no time letting us know how excited you were for this new venture. There has already been quite a lot of interest, especially for the vegetable/egg/ chicken CSA. We have a limited number of spots open, so if you or someone you know would like to be notified when the sign-up goes live, click below and we'll add you to our list. If you've already submitted the form then you're all set! | | |

As a proud part of the faming community in the Shelburne area, we want to make sure that we continue to offer the items, events, and accessibility that our customers want the most. For that reason, we are asking for your help in planning for 2022. Please take a minute (literally, 60 seconds or less) to complete this short survey about what you'd like to see from Killeen Crossroads Farm. Anyone who provides us with feedback by 1/31/22 will be entered to win a KCF sweatshirt--which you know you'll be needing over the next few months, especially if you're local to the farm! |
