Werribee Mansion & Rose Garden Happenings

Werribee Crew conduct back-to-back tours at the Werribee Mansion Garden and State Rose Garden with clockwork precision. A busy schedule, and a wonderful experience for customers including the Tarneit Club60 Seniors pictured below.

Above: Morning Tea set-up and service for a large tour group @ State Rose Garden.  Guides mingle with customers, provide information and offer a range of hot beverages and light snacks. A superb display of planning and customer engagement.

Access Guides and Geelong Passport 2 Employment

Our director Tom Liolios was privileged to interview a number of secondary students at the Passport 2 Employment practice interview day, and the subsequent P2E graduation.  An outcome-driven, industry focussed collaboration between the Ticket to Work Network, the Give Where You Live Foundation and the Australian Federation of Disability Organisations.

GROW Compact Action Network 2019

Access Guides is a member of the Geelong GROW Compact Action Network supporting local and regional social enterprise.  We were one of 40 signatories attending the network meeting hosted by WorkSafe in Geelong.  An inspiring, community driven event, typical of the tireless work done by Liz Everist and her team.

Access Guides New Partnerships for 2020

Means New Opportunities

Access Guides is collaborating with new partners to create a range of new career skilling opportunities in 2020:

Narana Aboriginal Cultural Centre (Grovedale) -  Positions are available in the Native Garden (gardening and landscaping) and the Cafe (front of house and kitchen ops).

Starstruck Equestrian Centre (Wallington) - Horse care, bays operations and assisting riders with a disability.

Cloverdale Community Kitchen (Corio) - Catering and kitchen operations.

Party Time !!

The End-Of-Year party was well deserved and a great opportunity to relax without the pressure of training or customers!  The entire event was planned and executed by team members, including a professional DJ set-up (thanks David!).
