ONE MORE WEEKEND OF "BECKY SHAW"!

BECKY SHAW is officially a hit! Our opening weekend saw three sold out shows at the Dare County Arts Council, as well as rave reviews from our audiences. We have three more shows coming up this weekend, but tickets are going fast. Get your tickets now for this Pulitzer Prize-finalist play that the New York Times called 'as engrossing as it is ferociously funny'. Shows are at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. This play contains adult content and language, so leave the kiddos at home for this one.

MAKE WAY FOR "MAME"!

After BECKY SHAW clears the stage this weekend, Theatre of Dare will bring back the Roaring 20's as we get set for our big, boisterous and brassy musical MAME. Filled with classic characters and memorable music ('Mame', 'We Need A Little Christmas', 'If He Walked Into My Life'), this Broadway smash is guaranteed to put a smile on your face and a song in your heart. Mame opens February 21 at the Indoor Film Theater at Roanoke Island Festival Park in Manteo. Tickets go on sale soon!

FINAL AUDITIONS OF THE SEASON

Your last chance to get up on stage with us this season is coming up in late February, when we hold two nights of open auditions for UNNECESSARY FARCE, a hilarious comedy we'll be putting on stage in April. The play is set in two side-by-side motel rooms, as a pair of police officers set up an undercover sting of an embezzling mayor. It has all the elements of a classic farce with a contemporary American plot, and there are great roles for three women and four men. Auditions will be February 25 & 26 at the Dare County Arts Council, so come on out and show us what you've got!
