Summer water advice from the Texas Water Development Board

With summer in full heat, the Texas Water Development Board is sharing information on how the state is managing water and offering advise on how to conserve water. Check out recent posts from irrigation conservation to new water laws from the 88th Texas Legislature.

Council votes to sue designer of Fort Worth Water Project

Summary: During the 18 July 2023 Special Council Meeting, the council unanimously voted to file suit against Halff and Associates for a portion of their effort in the Willow Park / Hudson Oaks Fort Worth Water Project. During Halff's design process, they underestimated costs by about $6.5M.

Air Quality in Willow Park and Parker County from surrounding growth.

Summary: No wonder Willow Park is developing the air quality of a larger city. In fact, Parker County has to continue emission testing when 90% of Texas counties no longer require a vehicle safety inspection. Surrounding development, I20, and local weather, make Willow Park and East PC "the perfect nesting ground for ozone formation."
