The House at Hope Corner I'm so excited to be bringing you another story set amid the glorious Shropshire countryside, and yet again I'm happy to include my love of all things natural. There are rather a lot of flowers in this one too... It's a story about hope and healing and a reminder that light always follows dark and, as we draw closer to the spring equinox and the lighter, brighter days, that seems wonderfully appropriate. The House at Hope Corner can be read as a stand alone, but it will be followed in August by a linked title which I'm busy writing at the moment. This is incredibly exciting for me because it reintroduces one of my favourite characters from a previous book. I'm not going to spoil the surprise, but I've been wanting to tell his story for a long time and now I've found the perfect way to do it. Keep you eyes peeled for more details.... |

The view across the valley takes her breath away; everywhere she looks tiny patches of colour – ochre, chestnut, lime and purple. The farmhouse behind her glows pink in the morning sun. It’s like stepping into a postcard, except that this magical place is real. It’s her new home.
With her beloved shop in danger of shutting down, meeting Ned, a gorgeous farmer with an irresistible twinkle in his eye, couldn’t have come at a better moment for free-spirited florist, Flora Dunbar. But no one is more surprised than her when their whirlwind romance leads to the offer of a new life on Ned’s farm.
Arriving at Hope Corner, Flora sets about becoming the perfect farmer’s wife, but her creative, alternative thinking falls flat in a household built on tradition and strict routine. Even Ned is becoming more distant by the day…
Pulling up her signature striped tights and throwing herself into her chores, little by little Flora learns to love the order and patterns of life on the land. But the more she learns about her new home, the more she suspects it’s under threat, and worse, that Ned is hiding a heartbreaking secret from her.
But this time, Flora’s not going to run from her problems. Do Ned and his family trust her enough to let her stay and fight for love and the first house she’s ever truly called home? Does she trust herself?
An absolutely gorgeous and utterly uplifting romance to sweep you off your feet! Perfect reading for fans of Jenny Colgan, Lucy Diamond and Debbie Johnson. Published on the 10th May, The House at Hope Corner is available to preorder now, and only £1.99! |

The Flowers and the Bees... One of the things I love most about writing the kind of books I do, is the opportunity to indulge my love of nature, and crafts too, in case you hadn't noticed! And this book has been no exception. I've wanted to write about a flower farm for some time, and of course where there are flowers, there are invariably bees... The two books below are just some I've read in the course of my research and I'd recommend them both. You don't need to have an interest in beekeeping to enjoy them at all, but just the words, the thoughts and the ways of being are hugely inspiring. |

I also had a wonderful time learning more about the business of growing flowers commercially, and am indebted to Clare from The Flower Farm for all her wonderful advice and information, and for being at the end of an email when I had an odd query. You'll see more in book two about the wonders of traditional british flowers, but next time you send a bouquet, please do try and order direct from the grower... I have, and the flowers were simply stunning... and no air miles either! You can contact The Flower Farm here |

Getting Out and About.... As a full time author, my working day can often be fairly solitary, but every now and again the opportunity comes up to get out and about and meet some some lovely readers, and others writers too. Saturday the 9th March was one such day. As part of the Tamworth Literary Festival, the town's library hosted a Meet The Author event, and I was very fortunate to be able to attend, along with a whole host of other talented writers. Not only did the day provide the chance to meet up with some wonderful readers who have followed my work for some time, but to also chat to new readers, about my own writing and also the wonderful world of books in general. The setting was fantastic, right in the centre of town, and the library staff looked after us beautifully. Not only that but I don't get many opportunities to see all my books displayed together, so here I am... rather proud of this! |

The day went so well that it looks as if some other libraries might also be interested in hosting a similar event, so keep an eye on my social media posts for more information... I might be coming to a library near you soon. |
