Our objective is to raise awareness, through the arts of the atrocities wreaked upon more-than-human animals—something beautiful and luminous and expressive of a passionate looking, the very essence of art—and necessary and consequential for cultural and societal transformation. Your support for these projects will be pivotal for inspiring a radical shift in perspective toward a multispecies world and about more-than-human animals as the wondrous and extraordinary and creative individuals they are—that they are indeed their own agents. Arukah's mission is to marry the disturbing reality of animal exploitation with the splendor of artistic expression, an alchemical fusion that has the great capacity to evoke compassion, empathy, and understanding even in the most hardened of hearts.
