NOTICE: Monthly Meetings; Time and Day has changed: The 2nd Tues of the month from 5-7. We meet at the new AIH at 8801 Old Seward Hwy.  It’s in the mall at the corner of the Old Seward Hwy and Diamond Blvd. We’ll have the meeting in their training center.  Please wear a mask.

At our next meeting Bill Poole, owner of Alaska Woodcrafters will share How to Construct a Vacuum Press for Making Veneers.

ARTISTRY IN WOOD.  If you haven’t seen all the wonderful creations that were entered in this show you still have until March 5th to be amazed.  Come see!

Please come and help out. March 5 will be the last day of AIW.  March 6 will be pick up and take down day from noon to 6:00. This day will be closed to the public. Again, Robert Pelno will have a truck available for transporting displays back to DMV.

From the Scrollers

Another Furondy is in the books. Congratulations to all the participants. The number of projects from the scrollers was limited this year. Next year we’re hoping for a more larger turnout.

Our normal monthly meeting will resume on March 29 from 10-2. Once again we will be meeting in the AIH training room. For the last 6 months we haven’t been making any sawdust. For this meeting we’re asking all members to bring your saws and a project to work on. We’ll be doing a show-n-tell as well so bring your most recent project for all to see and enjoy.

Hope to see you soon. Happy Scrolling!

Raymond
