2 Honors for DuSable! NY- DuSable BLVD & Chicago- DuSable Lake Shore Drive! Ephraim Martin & Mathieu Eugene.

Making History for Chicago's Founding Father, Jean Baptiste Pointe DuSable, Martin's International Foundation - Black Heroes Matter (BHM) Coalition's Chairman/President Ephraim Martin, DBA, BHM Political Chair, Justice Shelvin L. M. Hall, Ret., Illinois Appellate Court, Justice NY Supreme Court, L. Priscilla Hall, Ret., met and toured with NY Councilman, Dr. Mathieu Eugene, who sponsored the historic DuSable Boulevard  in Brooklyn, New York last Sunday.

Since the BHM campaign last year, Martin has been using  national and international media for greater recognition for Dusable in various cities. Thanks to Dr. Eugene, his NY City Council and supporters, they were the first to answer the BHM calls, and recently added Jean Baptiste Pointe DuSable Boulevard to a part of Flatbush Avenue, corner of Clarendon Avenue in Brooklyn, New York.

Dr. Martin,  along with his wife Justice Shelvin L.M. Hall, following the death of George Floyd, launched Black Heroes Matter (BHM) Coalition under the umbrella of Martin's International Foundation. The objectives are to correct the wrongs to the Black man from the Caribbean country of Haiti, Jean Baptiste Pointe DuSable who founded Chicago, to give him a major street, Monument, and city Holiday. The BHM Coalition immediately join forces with Alderman David Moore and Alderman Sophia King, who earlier sponsored an ordinance in the Chicago City Council to rename the most iconic driveway in Chicago in honor of DuSable.

Since the BHM, July 4th, 2020, rally and march, Ephraim Martin and his team have been calling for greater local and international recognition for DuSable.  On June 25th with a vote of 33-15 in the Chicago City Council,  our DuSable Drive campaign ordinance sponsored in the city Council by Alderman Moore and co-sponsored by Alderman, Sophia King, won the BHM Coalition victory for the Founding father, renaming LSD as the Jean Baptiste Pointe DuSable Lake Shore Drive, and on October 21, 2021, the DuSable Drive signs were unveiled. Four days later, New York Councilman, Dr. Mathieu Eugene, was able to have a part of Flatbush Avenue at Clarendon Road named, Jean Baptiste Pointe DuSable Boulevard.

Martin, said, he hopes to see recognition for DuSable in South Florida and other parts of the country as they wait for the major Monument and city Holiday in Chicago.

Both, men, BHM Chair Ephraim Martin, and Councilman Matheiu Eugene, who is ending his term as NY Councilman want to push for greater recognition for Chicago's Founder DuSable, and other Blacks and minority people who have contributed to society but were overlooked or were not given their deserved honors, because  of Systemic Racism.
