I presented at a startup event, surfing Facebook takes on a new meaning, plastic surgery get well cards, and a proposal. I started the week by making a doodle video of Mark Zuckerberg's weird surfing on July 4th. And maybe that inspired me to pitch at my dad's Startupalooza event! See how that went below. Plus, I've updated my shop with two new cards for plastic surgery and my custom site with a new proposal doodle. And, did you notice something different? I have a new header with a watercolor background and my new logo! Enjoy! If you're new to Danielle in Doodles, welcome! I publish this newsletter of my latest doodles every Sunday, and you can see archives here. |

I pitched my business idea at Startupalooza |
Ever since I was a kid, I've been helping my dad with his business conference company. For the past 15 years or so, he's been running Startupalooza, an event for entrepreneurs to pitch to investors. So it was only a matter of time until I had an idea to pitch. He let me present on Thursday night at his first in-person event (but it was pouring in NYC, so most people chose to join via Zoom). He introduced me as a "budding, next-generation entrepreneur." If you're interested, you can see the deck here. Honestly, I'm not ready for the big idea I pitched, but it was a good experience! I got some tough questions (of course) and some good feedback. I think the judges especially liked their personal doodles. |

New get well cards for plastic surgery! |
If you know someone getting plastic surgery (particularly for their breasts or nose), it's hard to find the right card, so I'm here to help. I shared these sketches a while ago, but I finally turned them into cards! And, I updated my shop with these and other new products, see it here! |

Congrats, Phil and Natalie! |

I made a doodle recreation of my friends' engagement! I've done a lot of custom work, so I had to update my site with cateogires. See it here. |

The Facebook founder had a bizarre adventure for July 4th, so it definitely warranted a doodle. |

I'm still making progress on my book. I sold a Bar-Mitzvah card this week, yay! And I did my first pitch. I'm also wondering — do you like the newsletter Sunday morning or evening? |
