In March we Launched our new SHOP

 

Our modern lifestyle exposes us to various sources of electromagnetic fields (EMFs) from electronic devices, Wi-Fi signals, and electrical appliances. These EMFs have been linked to stress, inflammation, and disrupted sleep patterns. Earthing and grounding offer a way to counteract these effects by neutralising excess electrical charge in the body and promoting balance.

 

In addition to EMF's, an imbalance in our lower chakras (Earth, Root & Sacral) can cause us to experience insecurity, fear, instability, and a lack of grounding and connection. SELF REFLECTIONS OF TRANSFORMATIVE ENERGIES

As we enter April and Autumn season, we take a breath and reflect on the transformative energies occurring at the moment. For this practice, I invite you to grab your journal, find a cosy spot, and work on your journey of self-discovery and gratitude.

Setting the Scene

Begin by grounding yourself in the present moment. Close your eyes, take a few deep breaths, and connect with the sights, sounds, and sensations of April and the changes Autumn brings. Feel the cooler air against your skin, you may sense a rustle of leaves outside, and allow yourself to appreciate the beauty of this season of change.

Reflecting on Transformation

Consider the ways in which April mirrors the cycles of transformation in our own lives. Reflect on a recent period of growth or change you've experienced. How have you adapted and evolved, much like the changing colours of the leaves? Write down any insights or lessons you've gained from this process of transformation.

Harvesting Abundance

Autumn is also a time of harvest and reaping it’s abundance. As we reap the rewards of our hard work and dedication. Take stock of the blessings in your life, both big and small. What achievements are you proud of? What abundance surrounds you, from the love of family and friends to the beauty of nature? Write down everything you're grateful for, allowing gratitude to fill your heart and soul.

Letting Go with Grace

Just as trees shed their leaves in preparation for Winter, Autumn reminds us of the importance of letting go. Identify any habits, beliefs, or emotions that no longer serve you. What are you ready to release as you move forward on your journey? Write them down and visualise them drifting away, making space for new growth and possibilities.

Harnessing Equinox Energy

The Autumn Equinox symbolises balance and harmony, with equal hours of daylight and darkness. Reflect on areas of your life where you seek greater balance and alignment. How can you nourish your mind, body, and spirit during this season of transition? Write down any intentions or goals you have for finding equilibrium in your life.

Reflections

Take a moment to read over your reflections and insights. Notice how the energy of April and Autumn has touched your soul and inspiring your growth. Express gratitude for this season of transformation and abundance, knowing that you are constantly evolving and expanding, much like the ever-changing landscape around you.

 

Listen to your inner voice. You may like to use some of these Self-Reflection Questions:

In what ways have I developed or evolved?

What insights or knowledge have I gained?

What desires or emotions seek expression, acknowledgment, and care from within me?

How have I made a difference to others and the broader world?

How has my story shaped my current circumstances?

What practices can I use to resolve past experiences and find closure?

Are there any conversations I still need to have? Who will I have these with?

What aspects of myself am I ready to release?

What positive characteristics do I recognise in myself?

What blessings or aspects of my life do I appreciate the most?

Corps Pose Pose | Savasana

Corpse Pose (savasana)

 

If you don't already, find your quiet space. Lay down on your back on a yoga mat or comfortable surface.

  • Lie flat on your back with your legs extended and slightly apart, and your arms resting comfortably by your sides, palms facing up. Allow your body to sink into the ground, releasing any tension in your muscles.

  • Close your eyes gently to enhance relaxation and turn your focus inward.

  • Take slow, deep breaths, focusing on the sensation of the breath entering and leaving your body.

  • Starting from your toes, mentally scan your body for any areas of tension or discomfort. Consciously relax each part of your body as you move upward from your feet to your crown.

  • As thoughts arise, acknowledge them without judgment, then gently guide your focus back to your breath or the sensations in your body.

  • Remain in Savasana for 5 to 15 minutes, or longer if desired.

  • When you're ready to end Savasana, begin to deepen your breath and slowly move your fingers and toes. Roll gently onto one side, keeping your eyes closed, and rest there for a few breaths.

  • Use your hands to press into the ground and slowly come up to a seated position. Take a moment to observe how you feel before continuing with your day.

  1. Savasana induces deep relaxation, alleviating stress and tension in the body and mind.

  2. It activates the parasympathetic nervous system, promoting a sense of calm and reducing stress levels.

  3. Savasana helps release tightness and tension in muscles, promoting physical relaxation and comfort.

  7. It allows the body to integrate the benefits of the yoga practice, promoting overall balance and harmony.

  8. Savasana provides a safe space for emotional release and introspection, aiding in emotional healing and fostering a positive outlook.
