Hello, from the LANCE Trust’s small but busy team! We really appreciate your support: signing up to our newsletter, following our Facebook page and volunteering when the opportunities arise, so we will try to keep you more updated with what the Trust have been up to and how you can get involved.

Our mission, as ever, is to maintain and increase biodiversity in and around Long Ashton, here’s what’s happening…

🐝 Spreading the word on our work for pollinators

The West of England Combined Authority launched the Bee Bold Awards to recognise businesses, organisations and schools that are "taking positive action to support bees and pollinators", and The LANCE Trust have submitted an entry.

It was a rewarding experience reflecting on all the things we've achieved in the village so far - the record-breaking number of common blue butterflies counted in Lark Meadow, for example.

On Wednesday, the Bee Bold team came to Long Ashton, to film some interviews with LANCE and capture some of the locations where we're making positive changes for pollinators (such as the wildflower bank in Peel Park, pictured).

The winner of the award will be announced at about 1:30pm at the Heart of BS13 Nature Family Fun Day. We will be there, so would love to see you too!

Everyone is welcome - please see the flyer below - 10th June, Hartcliffe

Cross your fingers for us!

All the best, The LANCE Trustees
