This is something I have been volunteering with since 2008. If you would like to know more about the mentor program and volunteering, contact me. Nic and I have completed FASFA, college applications, and more than 20 scholarship applications. All of this via Zoom. What a difficult year it has been for students. I especially feel for seniors.

Nic has taught me how to use Google Docs, and how to comment on his essays. What a resilient young man! Even though his junior year and his entire senior year have been like no other, I am positive he will be a first generation college success story. High Five to all the school employees who are doing their best during this unprecedented pandemic.

Legislative News

We need your help! All three state budgets are very favorable to us.

-The Medicare Benefit ($183) is included in all three budgets: Governor, Senate and House.

-The Senate Budget also includes $800 million to help pay down our Plan I unfunded liability. This is a crucial issue and will effect our pensions in the future.

You should have received an email from the WSSRA state office outlining steps to take and asking you to contact your Distrct 12 legislators by email or phone.
