Creating a STAR CV: These days, it's getting harder and harder to stand out in the international job market. I've heard of some schools receiving hundreds, if not thousands of teacher applications for their job postings. So how you do you increase your chances of getting noticed? I'd recommend writing your CV using the STAR method, essentially describing the Situation, Task, Action, and Results for your teaching positions. The advantages of doing so are: you're underlining your worth to future schools, you're highlighting your skillset and expertise, you're creating a narrative of accomplishments at each of your schools, and most importantly, you're showing how you directly impact student learning in your classroom.
