Melanin Rich indigenous community Nurture their Nature.

Before covid19 this was to be the last Nne Agwu gathering. A great time to stop on the 10th anniversary. It was all systems go for the grand finale and then …BAM! Stopped bruptly. For a while that was it…No gathering. After many calls from members of the community the decision was taken to give the people what they want and need.

“It is with great pleasure I announce – the Nne Agwu Afrakan Storytelling Festival, taking place from Friday 28th August – Tuesday 2nd September 2020. Please join us!” Griot Chinyere. Numbers are limited to 40 that may rise as protocol around the pandemic changes. Avoid disappointment and get your ticket first.

The Nne Agwu Afrakan Storytelling Festival will venerate our family values & the prinicipals of Ubuntu as we honour the legacy of both grassroots and nationally acclaimed oral traditionalists: Dimela Yekwai, Baba Adesose Wallace, Tony Morrison & Dougie.

Shanti-Chi presented the first Afrakan storytelling celebration in 2010 in Oxleas woods. An evening of storytelling, music, night walking, chanting and celebrating. And with the final happy ever after of the evening, the people asked for “more.“ We gave the Nne Agwu 4 day camp retreat. See details below.

LOOK FORWARD TO SHARING OUR MAGICAL STORIES WITH YOU!
