I ran our first Community Dream Tending event back in December, in response to the early days of genocide in Gaza. That event was a free offering, but for this second run I decided to run it as a Fundraiser for a Palestinian journalist, Wadih Abou Saoud, and his family. Like countless other families in Gaza, Wadih and his three very small children had their home destroyed during the ongoing violence. Two of his kids were seen fleeing while his little boy held a makeshift white flag, and the sound of explosives went off in the background. I created a reel featuring this viral clip from December, including information about the event you can see here. |

He has created a GoFundMe to raise money to get his family to safety as they're currently displaced. I'd love it if we could help him raise money to get his kids to safety, as he continues to share the on-the-ground realities of everyday horrors lived by his people. Community Dream Tending is a space to share dreams and nightmare images that have shifted due to the barrage of horrific devastation in Gaza, which we see shared daily via social media, (and much less through mainstream media). Together, we will share dreams and nightmares and process them through active imagining. |

NIGHT Most of my dreams recently have been occurring at night. This isn't a normal occurrence for me. More distinctly, I find my dreams to happen right at dusk when the sky is turning pink and orange. If not, it's during the day. But the darkness of night has been popping up a lot more frequently over the last several weeks. When working with Dream, we pay attention to the details that you might not think matter as you're retelling it. Do you notice a pattern in the time of day your dreams occur? |

This scene from "Singing in the Rain" (1952) popped in when I started to ask for this month's message... "Get lost in the billowy, mutable realm of possibilities. So much of our imagination is stifled by the limitations of "realism," of "likelihoods, that it proves to be a barrier to real change, and new paths. When someone tells you to be realistic, what they're really saying is that they're scared of just how good things could be if we stepped out of the box. If we carved out new possibilities. No one likes their worldview interrupted. Even if that interruption could provide a beautiful gateway to the "other." |

DECK: The Modern Spiritual Latina Tarot Oracle by Jasmin Alejandrez-Prasad aka Esoteric Esa find it here Card "8 Spider Medicine" Cosmic Web, Community, Destruction, Femininity, Creating Timelines, Teotihuacan Goddess I love how well the card pulls align with the Akashic messages most of the time! This is one of the more beautiful decks I own, the cards are fully holographic and shine in the light. Another favorite aspect of this deck is that it doesn't come with a guidebook with individual card meanings, it opens up space to intuitively interpret the meanings. But the "Creating Timelines" and "Destruction" keywords are what pops out to me. Sometimes, we need to destroy aspects of ourselves, aspects of our lives, to make room for new creations. I know spider messages have come up in a past newsletter too, so if you hang on to those it wouldn't hurt to look back at that too. |
