Hello Friends of Intersect!

It is Spring in Virginia.  The Forsythia bush and Bradford Pear trees are the first to remind us of the new season — a resurrection of new beginnings.  How fitting that Easter falls into this season of remembering the passion of Christ and the celebration of his Resurrection.

New beginnings - a fresh start - transformation.  Not only do those words describe Spring and the Easter Season, but it is also what brings Intersect to life with those we serve.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

Every leader needs a mentor — someone to check in and to process life and leadership challenges.  Steve Aldrich has been that for me for over 53 years!  It was an absolute joy to partner together doing Lifeworkx in Kenya, near the Nairobi area.

Steve and I led 2 events of 3 days each in different locations.  370 pastors attended the events where the power of God was on display.  Pastors had an opportunity to tell their stories and many shared parts of their lives they have never shared with anyone.  They identified the lie from the enemy and chose to live in the truth of God’s Word.  As a result, the truth indeed set them free from being stuck in their past.

Once pastors became free from their past hurts and wounds, they were able to begin living in the present with how God has designed them and started living in their strengths in their  leadership role.  Such joy and transformation God brought into their lives.

SPIRITUAL CONNECTIONS

Evelyn is new to America with a young son from Colombia.  She is working on moving toward citizenship.  We had the opportunity to not only talk about pathways to US citizenship but also how one becomes a citizen of heaven.  Evelyn made a decision to put her faith in Christ and begin a relationship with him.

Another difficult conversation revolved around a young adult who was seriously contemplating suicide.  Life had become overwhelming with seemingly no way out.  We began to talk about how much God loved her and valued her, and that he put her on this earth to know him and his love for her.  God is bigger than her problems and she could trust him to do what she could not.  She said: yes to turning away from ending her life.  Praise God!

COACHING

Much of my recent coaching has landed in the realm of executive leadership challenges.  Coaching segments have included:  staff unity and motivation - finding leadership margin - navigating compensation for increased level of responsibility - conflict resolution and organizational direction.

Outside of leadership, coaching included grief and loss of a loved one, and parenting priorities.

FAMILY

Bryson and Emily.  Who knows what mischief that grin will lead to!

We truly value your prayers that we will be led by the Holy Spirit to be obedient to reach those on the other side with the transformational power of Jesus.

And should you be led to partner with us financially, there is a place on the website to donate.

On the website, there is also a place you can connect with us with your prayer concerns.  We would be honored to pray with you.

Happy Easter!
