Rice Paper Batik

Saturday, October 5

10 AM - 3 PM

$65

Take your watercolors to the next level with this fun method of using the batik method of applying hot wax to save and build layers of colour. Together, we will create a painting on rice paper, which adds an extra element of interest and texture. Instructor will guide students through the batik process, while assisting each student with colour mixing, composition and values to create a focal point in their work.

All materials and supplies are included

December Display at the Sheep River Library

The Sheep Creek Arts Council has been offered the exhibition space at the library for the month of December 2024.

This would be open to all 2D artists who are currently members of the S.C.A.C.

Members are invited to submit up to 3 artworks although not all 3 may be accepted due to space restrictions.

I think this would be a good way to showcase all the excellent art that our members produce, a good advertisement for the SCAC and a possible selling opportunity.

Set up would be Monday December 2, take Down December 30 with a small reception at some point in the month.

If you're interested in displaying and selling your artwork, please contact Kym Wilkie at kym.wilkie@gmail.com
