Hi Hello!,
Welcome to the October edition of my personal development newsletter. As the leaves change color and the air turns crisper, it's a perfect time for personal growth and reflection. Let's dive in as there are some good tips!
Bull Hill Ranch Girl's Trip
I just returned from a five-day girl's trip to Bull Hill Guest Ranch in Kettle Falls. To say we had an amazing time, would be an understatement! This trip is always one of my favorites trips to take each year. It is the place I feel most like myself (who knew I was a cowgirl deep in my soul) and where my heart belongs. The friendships, the ranch, the horses, the food, the memories, the adventures, the laughter, and the new people I meet every year is priceless. Make sure to follow me on social media to see all the fun we had as I posted pictures and videos.
Clear Out the Clutter If You're Feeling Stuck
Are you feeling stuck, no motivation, look at your space and feel overwhelmed? It could be the clutter in your life. Look aroundâŠwhat do you see?
Clearing clutter not only creates physical space but can also have a positive impact on your mental and emotional well-being. It allows you to focus on what truly matters and opens up opportunities for new experiences and creations in your life.
If youâre surrounded by clutter, there is no room for the things you do want in your life to enter.
Here are some steps to help you tackle clutter removal effectively:
1. Set Clear Goals: Determine what you want to achieve by decluttering. Are you looking to create more space, reduce stress, or be more organized? Setting clear goals will motivate you.
2. Start Small: Begin with a small, manageable area like a drawer or a single room. This prevents overwhelm and allows you to see progress quickly.
3. Sort and Categorize: Group similar items together. Decide what to keep, donate, recycle, or throw away. Be honest with yourself about what you truly need or use.
4. Use the âOne-Year Ruleâ: If you havenât used or worn something in the past year, consider getting rid of it. Exceptions can be made for sentimental items.
5. Declutter Regularly: Make decluttering a habit. Set aside time each week or month to tackle different areas of your home to prevent clutter from accumulating.
6. Get Organized: Invest in storage solutions like bins, shelves, and hooks to keep your remaining items organized. Labeling containers can also be helpful.
7. Donât Rush: Take your time. Decluttering is a process, not a race. Itâs better to do it thoroughly than to rush through it.
8. Avoid Emotional Attachments: While sentimentality is important, try not to keep items solely because of emotional attachments. Consider taking photos or creating a memory box for sentimental items.
9. Seek Help: If you find it challenging to let go of things, consider asking a friend or family member to help you make decisions.
10. Maintain Regularly: Once youâve decluttered, make an effort to maintain the order by regularly putting things back in their designated places.
Remember that decluttering is not a one-time task but an ongoing process. It can lead to a more organized and peaceful living environment.
Livin the Visions Women's Retreat: A Huge Success!
The recent Livin' the Visions Women's Retreat was a remarkable success. Participants embarked on a transformative journey of self-discovery, empowerment, and connection. This event wouldn't have been as successful if it wasn't for the women who stood by my side and contributed to the magic of the day. Laurie Lind guided us through a soothing yoga & sounds bowl session, Susann Hussels led profound horse connection exercises, Ralenda Chaney provided heavenly chair massages, and Julie LaValley crafted beautiful food for everyone to enjoy. Their dedication and support made all the difference.
Thank you to all the amazing women who attended the retreat. I am so proud of you for making yourself a priority for the day and being open to the experience. Your presence and enthusiasm added a special energy to the event that was truly inspiring.
Here are some comments from the event:
Thank you, Chris! The retreat was a wonderful group experience and a great âresetâ opportunity. The beautiful setting & view made it especially memorable. And the horses were an added bonus!
Today was an incredible chance to escape the business of life, retreat to nature and remind myself of my foundations. It was phenomenal to connect with animals, get a massage, and enjoy the beauty of the mountains.
Chris, youâre a wonderful person. Warm and welcoming. Your presentation was fun, thoughtful, and inspiring. Including horses was a great idea. Horses are so therapeutic.
This womenâs retreat provided a safe space to build new friendships, laugh, relax and most of all gave me the tools to manifest positivity and a vision for a healthy, happy future.
Fun time had by all! Day filled with positive people, activities, and material. Authentic female power, connection, and support.
Gratitude is the best word to describe what this experience has given me. Lots of time and effort was put in for this group of ladies. The biggest thing I gained from this was a sense of community and purpose. Thank you so much for this!
It's heartwarming to see the impact this retreat had on these women, and we can't wait to continue this journey of self-discovery and empowerment with all of you. Stay tuned for updates on future events, retreats and workshops!
Enjoy the Autumnal Vibes
As the leaves start to change color and fall, take some time to appreciate the beauty of nature. Treat yourself to a warm cup of hot chocolate and a cozy blanket as you soak in the seasonal magic.
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, a time dedicated to shedding light on the pervasive issue of domestic violence and advocating for its eradication. During this month, communities and individuals come together to raise awareness, support survivors, and work towards ending the cycle of abuse.
One of the most impactful ways to support this cause is through education and awareness. Take the time to learn about the signs of domestic violence and how it affects individuals and families. Share this knowledge with your friends, family, and community to help break the silence surrounding this issue. Encourage open conversations and provide a safe space for survivors to share their experiences.
Supporting local organizations and shelters that provide assistance to survivors is crucial. You can volunteer your time, donate resources, or organize fundraising events to help these organizations continue their vital work. Additionally, advocating for policies that protect survivors and hold abusers accountable can make a significant difference.
Finally, never underestimate the power of empathy and compassion. Be a supportive friend or family member to those who may be experiencing domestic violence. Offer a listening ear, a helping hand, and a non-judgmental presence. Domestic Violence Awareness Month reminds us that by working together, we can create a world where everyone can live free from fear and violence.
