Space in the LAA Fall Sidewalk Show and Sale, located in the Village Park near the Library on Skidaway Island, will once again be $25 on a first-come, first-served basis. ARTIST OF THE MONTH COCKTAIL RECEPTION On Thursday, September 7th from 5 PM to 6:30 PM our LAA/Sound View Artist of the Month Gallery at the Palmetto Club will once again be hosting its regular monthly cocktail reception! And, beginning this month, there will be a wine & beer bar set up on the patio near the pro shop that will accept both member numbers and credit cards! This month we'll be featuring the artwork of Deborah Redden on the wall along with Sandra Hodge in the case. Also, check out a brand-new display of artwork in our LAA/Sound View Member Gallery. |

REGISTRATION NOW OPEN FOR NEW WORKSHOPS! Our 2023-24 Workshop Schedule has recently been finalized, and we are happy to announce that four exciting workshops are available this season. We have tried to capture a number of styles and mediums so that many of our members may benefit from the expertise of a variety of instructors. October 31st-November 2nd: “Alla Prima Still Life with Oil” instructed by Kip Bradley January 24th-25th: “Watercolor and Ink” instructed by Penny Thompson February 26th-28th: “Acrylic Landscape” instructed by Marc R. Hanson April 16th-18th: “Make Your Colors Sing; Studio Oil Landscape” instructed by Lori Keith Robinson

Our GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETINGS with speakers/presenters will now take place on Tuesday afternoons from 4:00 to 5:30 PM at the Skidaway Community Church and will be held on October 17th, January 16th, March 19th and May 21st. Mark your calendars! Our VIRTUAL GALLERY on Facebook will offer a $50 monthly cash prize, now in the form of a RANDOM GIVEAWAY. A winner will be chosen using Google's Random Generator and announced on the LAA Challenge page. Those members posting 2 pieces per month (max allowed) will have double the chance of winning. And remember - each piece you post is being seen by over 530 artists and art appreciators! Beginning in September, our monthly Artist of the Month COCKTAIL RECEPTIONS at Palmetto will include a wine & beer bar on the porch near the pro shop that will now accept both member numbers AND credit cards! REMEMBER: Many of our artists have websites linked to the LAA website that showcase their work. This is a complimentary feature of LAA membership.
