Here are the top three stories in Manchester today:

  1. John Delee, 22, is charged with second-degree murder after reportedly shooting a man eight times outside of a bar in Manchester over the weekend. Timothy Pouliot was shot on Old Granite Street outside of the Goat Bar and Grill on Saturday after an argument with the suspect. An arraignment in Hillsborough County Superior Court was waived on Monday. Delee is also facing a charge of reckless conduct in addition to the murder charge. (Patch)
  2. A child was being treated at an outpatient facility after being stabbed when a group of girls got into a fight in Manchester over the weekend. The victim, who was involved in the fight, was cut on the hand when another girl in the fight pulled out a knife. The incident occurred near Brown Avenue and West Baker Street around 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday night. (NBC 10 Boston)
  3. Manchester's director of homelessness initiatives is working to open emergency shelters almost two weeks after the downtown homeless encampment was ordered to evacuate due to health concerns. The city is working to open two emergency shelters. Adrienne Beloin said, "This is not the solution. It's not the answer for everyone who's out there and needs a safe place to be." The Tirrell House will provide 14-26 beds for women while another shelter will provide an additional 40 beds to men or women. About 75 families are currently living in hotels with federal funding that will run out in June. (WMUR)
