A River of Light Lantern Parade Returns!

The 13th annual River of Light Lantern Parade will take place on Saturday, December 3rd at 5:00 PM. The parade will start at Brookside Primary School, head down Stowe Street and then right on Main Street to Dac Rowe where there will be hot chocolate, bonfires, and the Cirque de Fuego fire spinners. Once again, we will be joined by the musicians from Sambatucada and Burlington's Brass Balagan! This year's theme is 'Marvelous Magic' and we have some wonderfully magical lanterns in store for you.

Dozens of people attended our weekend lantern making workshops and all of the students at Brookside Primary School are making lanterns with their art teacher, Rachael Wells and Artist in Residence, MK Monley.

This event would not be possible without our sponsors, the Harwood Unified Union School District, Waterbury Winterfest, The Alchemist, Ben and Jerry's, and Billing's Mobil.  Thanks also to the Waterbury Recreation Department, the countless volunteers, as well as others who have donated to this event.
