In 2014 and 2015, n e I z I g m a was invited to perform in South Africa, Europe and Israel. With the musical performances, partnerships were born in a spontaneous exchange with musicians from the places where he went. From this intertwining of ideas, in July 2020 the singer released the ep n e I z I g m a by the label YB Music. n e I z I g m a is a multi-artist who translates the rhythmic cadences of Brazil into poetic and melodic images, embracing his roots. His artistic plurality, and an experience in different fields such as Art-Education, express an enormous production of lyrics and authorial songs, which make the singer a spokesperson for a musical art full of particularities of Afro-Brazilian roots and their social contexts. Composing and performing with theater and music, since 2003 in the city of São Paulo, he took part as musical director, actor and soundtracks for dance improvisation shows with Cias de Teatro, São Paulo Playback Theatre, Estelar de Teatro & Cia das Meninas, and performing at his shows with his band or accompanying himself on guitar. |
