There is no post that will adequately express the gratitude we have for the people that pulled together to help make the Crosby Community Club bathroom remodel a success. It all started with a little idea to put in some sweat equity to make improvements to the club.
The Club has been a fixture in this community for years. Its history is abundant, a place where everyone is welcome and where endless memories have been made. With that said, we also know that the club is well worn, and could seriously use some love.
Last September with the help of club members planning and the participation from the community, we were able to host a corn hole tournament where we raised $800 specifically to help with a bathroom update. Thank you to our neighbors for coming out to spend a Saturday, your money, and your time towards a good cause. Without your participation in this event and many others like it; improvement projects like this would not be possible.
When we initiated this remodel, we hoped we would be able to wrangle some volunteers to help with improvements, but our expectations were far exceeded. We want to extend our biggest THANK YOUS to some very special people that made this all possible.
To Siemens Woodworking, the whole crew (Cara Suzanne Siemens, Bret, Jared, Marci Taylor, Henry and even Razzle), thank you for spending your whole weekend with us! Your investment to our community can’t be repaid and we seriously can’t thank you enough. EVERYTHING, from donating two brand new vanities, to dry walling, installing floors, to your expert woodworking, and even the most beautiful light fixture.
To Rosen Plumbing and Jeff Dlugosh for donating a brand new ADA Toilet, installing all the plumbing, and fixtures. We couldn’t be more grateful to you for squeezing us in and making the time to help get us up and running in time!
Stephanie Curry McPherson, thank you so much for stepping to volunteer and coming in clutch to help with electrical!
Valerie Lynn Sechrest-Claussen for donation of not only all her time painting but a new garbage can and Paper towel dispenser.
To ALL other community members and volunteers who dedicated countless hours to this project (fingers crossed I don’t forget anyone) Sharon Pearl, Rosemary Parascando Schuessler, Cindy Martin, and Maggie Reeves - thank you so much for your help us with the painting, sanding, gutting, and cleaning! Needless to say we can’t thank everyone enough!
One bathroom down, one to go, and be on the lookout for our next Cornhole fundraiser announcement which will be to help with an upcoming kitchen renovation.
Good things are on the way. Signed the forever grateful Tracy Hague, Women's Club of Seabeck Treasurer.
