Segítsünk együtt a Helen hurrikán által érintett magyar családoknak!

Kedves Karolinai Magyarok!

A Karolinai Magyar Csoport (KMCS), mint non-profit szervezet, szeretné támogatni azokat a magyar családokat, akik a Helen hurrikán okozta károk miatt nehéz helyzetbe kerültek. Sok honfitársunk áram, internet és alapvető szükségletek nélkül maradt, és most különösen nagy szükségük van a közösségünk segítségére.

Nem hoztunk létre külön GoFundMe oldalt, mert az extra adminisztrációs költségekkel és anyagi levonásokkal jár. Mivel minden dollár számít, ezért arra kérünk, hogy közvetlenül a weboldalunkon található "Donate" gombra kattintva adományozzatok! A beérkezett összeg 100%-a a károsultakhoz fog kerülni, és a KMCS 3000 dollárral egészíti ki a befolyt támogatást. Bármilyen adomány óriási segítség lehet azoknak, akik a hurrikán következményeivel küzdenek.

Ezen kívül önkénteseket is keresünk, akik segítenének a következő módokon:

• Befogadnának átmenetileg károsult családokat otthonaikba, különösen olyan háztartásokban, ahol van áram és internet.

• Ételadományokat ajánlanának fel, amelyeket el tudnánk juttatni az Asheville-ben és környékén maradt magyar családoknak.

• Segítséget nyújtanának az adományok eljuttatásában, és bármilyen egyéb szükséges feladatban, hogy biztosítani tudjuk a rászorulók számára az alapvető ellátást.

   

Kérjük azoknak a magyar családoknak is a jelentkezését, akik szívesen vennék, ha átmenetileg elhelyezést nyernének a közeli magyar háztartásokban, ahol van áram és meleg otthon várja őket.

Ha szeretnél segíteni bármilyen formában, vagy ha Te magad kerültél segítségre szoruló helyzetbe, kérjük, vedd fel velünk a kapcsolatot. Együtt erősebbek vagyunk, és most különösen fontos, hogy összefogjunk a nehéz időkben.

Dear Hungarians in the Carolinas,

As a non-profit organization, the Carolinas Hungarian Group (KMCS) would like to support those Hungarian families who have found themselves in difficult situations due to the damage caused by Hurricane Helene. Many of our fellow Hungarians are left without electricity, internet, and basic necessities, and now, more than ever, they need the support of our community.

We have not created a separate GoFundMe page because it involves additional administrative costs and deductions. Since every dollar counts, we kindly ask you to donate directly by clicking the "Donate" button on our website! 100% of the collected funds will go to the affected families, and the Carolinas Hungarian Group will add $3,000 to the total donations. Any donation, no matter the size, can make a huge difference for those struggling with the aftermath of the hurricane.

1. Via PayPal to carolinashungarians@gmail.com. IMPORTANT! Please select the “Family and Friends” option when making the transfer, so the full amount will reach us without any deductions. Transfers from bank accounts through PayPal are also free of charge for you. The fee for credit card payments is 2.9% + 30 cents.

In addition, we are also looking for volunteers to help in the following ways:

• Temporarily hosting affected families in your homes, especially in households that have electricity and internet access.

• Offering food donations that we can deliver to Hungarian families who remain in Asheville and surrounding areas.

• Assisting with the delivery of donations and any other necessary tasks to ensure that those in need receive essential care.

   

We also encourage Hungarian families who are in need of temporary shelter in nearby Hungarian homes with power and a warm, welcoming environment to get in touch with us.
