Holy Moly!

A surprise donation of nearly $1,000 was given to Nachan. I wept this morning as I sent the money to the team. This means that we will be able to offer food, medical care, and practice to hundreds of fellow humans for the next month.

Please stay tuned for images and videos as Allan and the team continue our good work.

Also, in response to the recent violence against my Asian and Asian American  sisters and brothers I have been asked to offer some Skills. Therefore...

Personal Protection Systems / MEQ in collaboration with Gina de la Chesnaye and hosted by TigerLily Frey Lin are offering a free three hour workshop on Self-Protection.

Where: McCarren Park, Wiliamsburg, Brooklyn

When: Saturday April 3rd 1 - 4 pm

Why: To offer skills and awareness to our Asian and Asian-American sisters and  brothers on how to deal with the possible and very real threats to personal  safety. In this workshop participants will learn how to “read” situational cues and listen  to their natural radars. This is key in navigating possible threats. Participants will  also learn basic self protection maneuvers should a threat escalate into physical  harm. We will also discuss the need to discharge trauma should harm occur.

How: Self-regulation techniques and basic self-protection skills employed  through the arts of kickboxing, jiu jitsu, Karate, Filipino martial arts, and  various striking disciplines.

What: Dress comfortably and be prepared to get dirty. Please bring protective  eye wear such as glasses. And masks for COVID safety.

Lastly,

Thank you so much to all whom have voted for me in the Yoga  Warrior Competition! I made it to the 3rd Round!

Please keep voting! As you know, it is my intention to use the winning funds to  continue my work in Uganda with The Nachan Project. We still have two more  rounds to go before the Quarters and Semis and Finals.

Let’s keep kicking ass! Mindfully, of course.
