The new year can be a good time to expand horizons, and seek new forms. So today I would like to introduce you to some work by other artists, which I am glad to have my own work alongside in three current exhibitions.
Without wishing to invoke the tyranny of the 'new years resolution', I often remind myself that what we take in via our senses, in sounds and images, is a substance, and should provide nutrition and sustenance for the imagination — Soul food in the true sense. So this year it is my intention to pay closer attention to where my awareness is being drawn. Art can heal, I am a firm believer in that, and in forthcoming communications I'll be focussing on this, and saying more about the other forms that my work takes, assisting people in that particular context.
Studio Sale
The winter reductions in my webstore continue. Ranging from small works on paper, to large framed pieces, with up to 25% off. If you are interested in a piece of work priced at £300 or more please feel free to enquire about payment by installments, as I am open to this discussion.
Selections From Three Current Exhibitions
I have work in each of these exhibitions, which continue during January. The Scottish arts organisations are a brilliant way discover, and support artists.
Society of Scottish Artists | Tide Changing / Changing Tides
Society of Scottish Artists | 30x30
Visual Arts Scotland | Flow
These online exhibitions showcase a variety of distinctive work in many different mediums. This is a very small selection of pieces that caught my attention, a sample of the quality work on offer. All are available to purchase from the respective organisations. I have not included details of each work, but one click or tap will take you to that piece in the gallery. So be guided by the image alone. Enjoy!
And finally...I was pleased to receive a mention in the recent Times review of the Visual Arts Scotland exhibition.
