Newsletter - 3/23

Read about our news and latest updates.

Hey there, Greetings! This winter has been crazy in many regards and we decided to skip the February newsletter. But we are back and ready to share our latest updates.

First and foremost, we hope you are staying safe and comfortable through this unprecedented weather. The snow totals out West have been record setting, causing skiers to celebrate, but also requiring never ending shoveling, heavy snow loads on roofs, closed road ways, and more recently, significant flooding. We will touch on our recent experiences and some things to consider.

Fully custom or customized? - that is the question. We have been spending a lot of our time in the planning phases for new models and design considerations. However, we love to get your input. Please click on this link to share what would be important to you.

TravelHomeNation™️ Across America tour has started. We already completed a quick loop through CA and had our first open house at the new River Sands Resort in AZ. We also just announced two more events in early May.

If you are considering an HDT tow vehicle, you do not want to miss the HDT National Rally. It is a great place to learn, see all the different HDTs, talk to other owners, go for a ride, and much more. Registration just opened and you certainly do not need to have an HDT to attend. Come in your current rig or fly in and stay nearby in a hotel.

The weather sure caused some challenges

In our last newsletter, we spoke about ensuring your home on the road is ready for all seasons, but this past couple of months in the West, the snow packed a punch. We usually do not drive when there is snow in the forecast, but this time we had to meet the kids. We ventured out and got there right in time but then got dumped on. Interstate 80 closed, so we did not drive, but as you can see in the video above, we had our work cut out for us. If you do end up having to drive is wintery weather, make sure you are cautious, have a plan B, have chains or tire socks, and are ready to simply pull over and park before it becomes impossible.

The good news with a movable home is you do have the option, and/or opportunity, to get out of dodge if you watch the weather. And if you don't need to, staying put is often a very good choice as well.

What is most important to you?

We would love to hear from you as to what are some of the important features, functions, and amenities you are looking for in your new RV.

We created a survey at the following link. It is 100% anonymous, but feel free to send us a note if you want to discuss.

TravelHomeNation™️ - Across America Tour '23

March saw us traveling through CA with stops in Truckee, San Francisco, Carmel, Paso Robles, and Santa Barbara. It is a beautiful state but the weather was not ideal. These were shorter stops, but we shared and showed our home with several interested families. We did have several Open Houses at the new River Sands RV Resort in Ehrenburg, AZ where we stopped for a week. What a great place, right on the Colorado River.

May 1 - 2 Flagstaff AZ - We just confirmed an Open House coinciding with the opening of the new Village Camp Outdoor Resort in Flagstaff, AZ. Here is the link to register for a ticket.

May 6 - 7 Dallas TX on the Southfork Ranch - Yes, the Southfork Ranch, home of the TV show Dallas. We are participating in the Gather and Create Festival showcasing a number of Tiny Homes, Schoolies, Van Conversions, etc.

Thereafter we are heading East, towards Melbourne, FL where we should arrive by the end of the month.
