A very Happy New Year from your board We hope you had a merry Christmas and we wish all LGBTQ+ singers, their families and friends around the world a very Happy New Year. May it be healthy, peaceful and filled with music! We shared our vision »Singing for Equality« to have a friendly LGBTQ+ choir space in every major town across the whole of Europe by 2040. We will start work on our first 5-year fundraising campaign strategy this month. Your Legato Board |

What a wonderful Winter Melody we had A very warm »Thank you« to all Legato members and LGBTQ+ choirs around the world for participating in our first Winter Melody! We enjoyed watching your performances, laughed and shed some tears, reminding us about the power of making music together. Join the Legato ROUND TABLES Based on the outcomes of our Big Conversation survey on what kind of services and help members would like to see from Legato and discussions with those of you who volunteered to contribute to the upcoming series of round tables and workshops, we have come up with a plan for the next few months. On Saturday, 8 January, 2.00 - 3.30 pm (CET) we're hosting a workshop on the implications of COVID-19 for our choirs. Some of our members are already back to ‘normal’ after a break, some are just making first steps. While new variants of the virus are emerging, planned first concerts are postponed or even cancelled. How to navigate this ever-changing space? How to evaluate the risks? How do we take care of each other? How to learn to live with COVID-19 out there? We invite all of you interested in listening and sharing their experiences and best practises to join this facilitated zoom session using this link: |

Copy the zoom link for the session: https://tinyurl.com/legatoroundtables After this workshop we’ll continue with discussions around repertoire: choosing repertoire, commissioning new pieces, arrangements, developing a concert programme, etc. |
