Part 3 - stepping on the Path
We have said that Enlightenment is the refinement of our Vibrations, achieved by embracing Stillness, Quietness, and Inner Peace... and now we must consider the manner in which we walk this Path of Revelation.
There are many, many ways in which you can approach ‘Enlightenment’ - for some it is all about the Mind, and so Knowledge become their fundamental vehicle.
And this will work but only to a point - for remember that ‘Knowledge is ever changing, ever expanding. Not simply due to new discoveries, but more, it is limited by their own willingness / ability to accept this new Knowledge [and here lies the greatest challenge - their own investment - security ? - in old Knowledge...and their reluctance to accept that the old was limited, lacking a certain higher awareness...and maybe was even flawed !]
And so they create their own stagnation...totally unnecessary, simply because they are unable - or unwilling - to move on, and give up the old for the new
The other more common approach to Enlightenment is through a personal Mystical Experience, where the person ever so briefly ‘touches Spirit’.
This can be - and often is - a Life changing event, and is able, under the proper circumstances, to awaken the person to a truly Expanded Consciousness... and lead them in a totally different direction. It touches the Heart, opening it up to an overwhelming ‘love’ for everything around them.
Sounds wonderful... so, what’s the catch ?
There are many pitfalls to this - here are some of the most dangerous ones -
To have this ‘mystical experience’ the person must ‘remove themselves from their everyday connection with this physical reality’ [in simple terms, they must become ‘ungrounded’]. The more they crave to repeat this ‘union with spirit’, the more ungrounded they must become... until they no longer function in this world.
Remember that your own Soul decreed that you must have a physical incarnation, and live actively in this human reality... thus to avoid this is a betrayal of its original purpose. [Look up the meaning of being a ‘House-holder’...that should help you.]
The other danger in this mystical experience is that you don’t really know if you are truly ‘touching Spirit’ ...or maybe a lesser version [or even a Dark one]... I have, unfortunately, worked with quite a few people who lost their way, and became increasingly more delusional because of this [pretty heavy consequences for their future incarnations.]
The final challenge of this ‘mysticism’ is that - if it truly works - then too often you are required to give up everything, and dedicate yourself fully to this service... Be clear on this - Mystics do not have ‘love relationships’, they give up all personal connections [no friends / lovers / parents / siblings...], and are often required to live in extremely poor conditions.
They are the true ‘Renunciates’ - beyond the lesser approach of convents, they wander the planet relying only on the grace of Spirit for their survival [look up ‘Sannyasin’ and see if that is what you want to be].
So then, how does one approach ‘Enlightenment’ without encountering such
challenges ?
Easy.
Remember the Law “As Within, so Without”. Whatever Energies you hold as your true Center, that you will manifest around you... and because Spirit created ALL in the Universe, it is up to each of us to decide which Energies will be most effective for us
[and we get to choose how our Life will be].
There are many Paths to Enlightenment...so consider Joy - happiness / laughter / playfulness...
Joy is the Pleasure Principle which inspired the Creator to manifest the Universe.
Each of us is to find our own Joyful interaction with Creation... and by so doing experience Spirit in beauty, in gentle smiles, in loving embraces, in open kindness... Embrace all that is joyful in Life, and Spirit will embrace you.
[It’s not difficult... you should try it, really !]
Enlightenment is to be found through our connection with Spirit
We get to choose how to do this... in pain, renunciation and sorrow...
Or in love, light, beauty...and playfulness
Whatever we choose ... so it shall be...
And so I greet you all, my beloved Brothers and Sisters of my Heart, Namaste ...
