Fun with Electronics @ Maine Stream Place’s Shop 5th – 8th grade students Tuesday evenings 5:30 – 7:00 PM, Summer Session: 7/11 – 8/22 A new project each week. Attend as many nights as you want. Summer Session Tuition: $25.00 (Scholarships available)
Each student will receive: FREENOVE Super Starter Kit for ESP32-WROVER (Included) (Compatible with Arduino IDE), Onboard Camera Wireless, Python C, 516-Page Downloadable Detailed Tutorial, 173 Items, 81 Projects (Value: $38.95+tax - Amazon) The Meet 'n' Do helps local Maine students get acquainted, interested, and involved with STREAM projects. Allowing the kids to meet and do hands-on work, will hopefully spark their interest in learning more in the field of STREAM. The Meet 'n' Do program this summer is called Fun with Electronics. Fun with Electronics introduces the students to microcomputers, programming, and the way programming works using MicroPython. In the first session, students learned how to set up and program a microprocessor to light up an LED on a breadboard circuit. All the students agreed that it was fun. Since then, they have experimented with ways to vary how an LED is turned on and off, and how to change the colors for a multi-colored LED. Next week they will start to work with something other than LEDs.

FIRST Robotics Summer Party |
On Saturday August 12th from 11:00- 4:00, we're going to be having our first ever FIRST robotics party. At the party, there will be fun games, delicious food, and other Maine robotics teams! We'll tour the shop and talk about robots. Some of the games and activities will include swimming, kayaking, fishing, and football (maybe). We'll have hot dogs, hamburgers, and other foods as well. Maybe we will even try Put the Band Around the Watermelon! Too many bands and it might explode! It'll be great fun. |
