York County Library Introduces New Outreach Van

On February 24, York County Library officially unveiled its new Outreach Van to the public! YCL Director Jason Hyatt and Community Engagement Manager Dina Grant officiated the event at the Main Library, joining Brannon Nance, Bookmobile & Outreach Assistant, and Wendy Coplen, Director of Finance and Grants for the S.C. State Library.

Following a special ribbon-cutting ceremony, guests enjoyed refreshments as they toured the van, which primarily serves seniors and features a wheelchair-accessible ramp and rolling carts for indoor visits. York County Library would like to thank all those who attended and those who helped to contribute. Want to see when the van is on the road? Visit yclibrary.org/outreach.

The purchase of this van was made possible by a Library Services and Technology Act grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services administered by the South Carolina State Library, as well as funds from the Friends of the York County Library.

Enjoy the Great Outdoors with State Park Passports

Start planning your Spring and Summer vacations with a South Carolina State Park Passport! These passports, available for checkout at all YCL locations, provide unlimited entry to all 47 South Carolina state parks for everyone in the vehicle.

Passports can be checked out for one week on a first-come, first-served basis and must be picked up and returned at the same library. To borrow a passport, simply search our online catalog for "SC Park Pass."

This project is made possible in part by a Library Services and Technology Act grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services administered by the South Carolina State Library. Additional support for this program comes from South Carolina State Parks.
