It’s A New Season: A New Perspective |
It's a new season, it's a new day, fresh ideas, and fresh goals are set coming my way! Questions: How do you embrace a new season? What do you look forward to in a new season? They (whoever they are?) say, “People are in your life for a season.” Or “Maybe you were only supposed to be here (wherever that may be) for a season.” Yes, these cliche and scenario may be true, and I have experienced both the cliches and the scenarios. Now that I am older, I tend to look at the seasons on earth differently, as I am redefining myself. Each season, I embrace the newness of what is expected to come and set goals for myself to reach my next level and or purpose. This fall I'm setting my sights on new opportunities, new goals, improving myself to become a better person, and meeting people who will support my vision and goals. Yes, this is Emotional Intelligence! The Purpose: A New Perspective that’s what the new season brings if we allow ourselves to embrace change. We all have a purpose and creativity. We need to unleash any fear that will keep us from the next levels in life. Working on Yourself: Yes, it’s okay to be unapologetic to love yourself first, which may seem selfish to some people close to you. However, reaching the next levels for finding your purpose and success takes all of you not some of you or not sometimes, but consistency, and being proactive to make your dreams happen! So make it count start today and don’t delay! Don’t worry DoV supports You! Now you can ask yourself what’s in a season? And what’s in it for you? |
Taking care of yourself can be a task to implement in our schedules. Honestly, the narrative needs to change as for why there is no time for self-care. |
Whether family, school, work, or other various tasks keep us from being proactive then, there should be a readjustment and evaluate why we are allowing ourselves to be at the bottom of the totem pole. It’s time to turn the totem pole from the bottom to the top! |

DoV's Health & Nutrition It’s Tea Time! |
Now that it’s the Fall Season, it’s time to spill the tea. Let’s spill the tea in more ways than one! (Get it!) No offense to the coffee drinkers, but if you like tea better than coffee keep reading. Hot cup of tea is a soul soothing, reduces stress, and a flavorful sip that ignites the taste buds in your mouth. Of course, you can go to any of the various coffee shops to buy your favorite tea however, making your own tea is so relaxing and creative to explore the different flavors of tea. Now go and be your own “tea barista” and “tea master!” |

Who Says You Can’t Wear White After Labor Day? |
It’s been an old dress etiquette cliche, "You should not wear white after Labor Day". But why did they (whoever they are), implement this dress code rule? Let’s learn history. As a child growing up, I remember the Labor Day dress code rule, and how we the people followed the dress code. In September the color white was banned. If someone was wearing white everyone was either staring at you or you were directly told, “ You shouldn’t be wearing white after Labor Day!” (With a commanding voice Geesh!) The Question In This Day and Age: Do you wear white after Labor Day? Either way- Yes or No just know you’re okay, if you do or don’t wear white after Labor Day. (Be your own Fashionista or Stylist) |

It’s all in the communication of Colloquialism, the under blurred line of words and the meaning of what is being communicated. Remember communication is the key 🔑 so let’s be open-minded to learning word meanings of today. 1. Thirsty- "Desperate For A Relationship." This is the most common meaning for THIRSTY on online dating sites, as well as in texts and on chat forums.

Ah, Fall. This is my favorite time of the year! So as we enter this beautiful time of year, I wanted to take a few moments to consider what the fall equinox means. It is the equilibrium of day and night and this represents the light and darkness in our lives. The long summer nights have passed and we are now in a season of transition. It is also the time of year when the trees shed their leaves So we can learn from the fall equinox and embrace transition while shedding those things that no longer serve us. |

Oh, I didn’t think of it that way! There’s always another way of gaining a new perspective. In Dean Del Sesto’s “Shift Your Thinking” he brings a fresh way of thinking about how to communicate with others, improve relationships, and self- reflect on how to shift your thoughts and behavior, and become an open-minded human being. Come on, let's grow mentally! |

Hooray!! The return of the theatrical plays. I’m so excited theatrical plays are returning to the stage. There is nothing like attending a play in person and soaking up a great storyline, a fun night out, and watching talented performers on stage.soaking up all of the talent in the performers in one night and on one stage. I love to sing and perhaps there is a little fantasy to visualize myself singing on stage (Hey a girl can dream can’t she?) My next play endeavors are Tina Turner and Diana. I can't wait! |
The Boss Diana Ross is back with her single “Thank You” Thank you Lady Diana Ross! One of my favorite singers! Let’s celebrate Ms. Ross’ return… hopefully another concert in the near future! |
As I stated before, I am so excited about the theatrical plays returning to the Broadway stage. One of my favorite theatrical plays is Wicked! I have seen Wicked five times and the reasons of course are the talented performers of the amazing Idinia Menzel who plays Elphaba, the funny Kristin Chenoweth who plays Glinda the Good Witch, and the rest of the talented cast of Wicked. |
The storyline to resonate with me are of two young ladies from opposite sides of the world Good vs. Evil, and a controversial friendship which spirals up and down. This story reminds of how women's relationships can be challenging, but when there is transparency and compassion between Elphaba and Glinda the Good Witch has shown in Wicked, true friendship prevails. |
With being vaccinated, masking up, and social distancing, I will be returning back to theatrical plays with excitement! What’s my favorite song in Wicked? I’m glad you asked. Drum roll, Please! “Defying Gravity” my all time favorite! |
