Hello from Corowa...

Reconciliation Action Plan Endorsement

We are very pleased to share that last week Reconciliation Australia welcomed us to the Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) program with formal endorsement of our Reflect RAP.

We’re proud to join a network of more than 1,100 corporate, government and not-for-profit organisations that have made a formal commitment to reconciliation through the RAP program.

The program’s potential for impact is greater than ever with over 2.3 million people now working or studying in an organisation with a RAP.

It’s important to us that we recognise the culture and values of First Australians and ensure that as a business we contribute to implementing considered and purposeful change within our community and profession.

We have long been committed to our vision for reconciliation, so it is an extremely proud moment for our team to now have a framework with practical actions to help us realise this vision and help drive change alongside our clients, collaborators and community.

If you’re interested in understanding how your organisation can make a difference visit the Reconciliation Australian website, and if you’d like to learn about how our journey towards reconciliation will look, our Reflect RAP can be viewed here.

Albury project receives Planning Approval

We finished off last week with news that one of our latest projects in Albury, NSW had received Planning Approval.

A busy couple of months ahead are in store for the team as we continue work on the next phase of this project.

Modern with abundant light, the design carefully maximises the site, as well as the elements of the existing home that will remain and takes in the wide Easterly aspect of the location to celebrate the adjacent landscape aspect.

Individual in design, it will also feature a guest studio that leads to a terraced outdoor entertaining area with swimming pool.

We look forward to sharing updates with you on this project as it further progresses.

Reminder - 'Threeninefivenine' Bushfire Recovery Exhibition

Don’t forget that next Friday, 21st May we will be opening our studio Gallery for 2021 with ‘Threeninefivenine’ - an exhibition of works curated by Architectural Graduate Callum Andrews.

The exhibition examines the role of 18 architecture practices in bushfire recovery projects; exploring what homes and buildings they are designing to assist individuals or communities in recovery after being affected by bushfires.

Also being showcased are the architectural models, drawings, sketches, plans and images of the buildings that range from completed works to those that are still on the drawing board.

This exhibition is a must-see, so on behalf of Callum please join us next Friday, 21 May to celebrate the opening and view the works from 5pm – 8pm.

If you can’t make the opening, the exhibition will continue for a week from Saturday 22 May through to Friday 28 May from 9am - 5pm.

View the official invitation here for further details.
