Summer Update

Building Skills, Changing Policy, Nurturing Partnerships

Strong Voices, Smart Choices!

Skills training for rising freshmen focused on understanding the problem of underage vaping and the relationships between screen time and mental health.  Youth learned evidence based environmental strategies and created prevention videos.

What is Your Spark?

FFS students joined youth from around the County to learn about their "Sparks" from nationally renowned speaker, Jim Conway of Search Institute.  Sparks are passions or hobbies that get you excited about life and help you to choose positive lifestyles.  Students also learned how to be "Spark Champions" for their peers!

Welcome to Ohio Tobacco 21!

This new law is a BIG WIN for public health in Ohio!  Tobacco products, including e-cigarettes and vapes will no longer be available to youth under 21.  We are proud to have been on the ground floor of this movement.  FPC has been working with Envision Partnerships and Interact for Health on this issue for a year.  We have helped by assessing community readiness for policy change and collecting data from youth.
