 This week I felt the effect of rising interest rates while home shopping with clients. We had viewed a few starter homes in Redmond, made a decision and had our offer ready to submit. Before completing the process, I had our lender run the monthly cost one last time to make sure it was a comfortable payment for my client. To our surprise, a recent spike in rates put the home out of our price range! Rates are predicted to rise over the next year and I foresee it cooling off the market a bit.
