We are teaming up with Santa to spread joy and raise funds to support our initiatives to positively impact Johnston County.

For a $5 donation, Santa will send a personalized note from the North Pole to his biggest fans - children, adults, pets, you name it!

For more information or to purchase a letter, visit www.jwlsmithfield.com by  Dec. 11, 2020 to give Santa's elves plenty of time to deliver these special letters.

5th Annual Touch-A-Truck event shifts to a successful diaper drive for the Partnership for Children of Johnston County

The Junior Women's League of Smithfield collected diapers, wipes and monetary donations to assist the Partnership for Children of Johnston County in creating a diaper closet for families in need. Instead of watching children admire their favorite vehicles at our live Touch-A-Truck event, we packed thousands of diapers and delivered them to PFCJC in MANY vehicles.

This initiative also allowed us to educate our communities about diaper need. A special thank you to the Johnston County Board of Commissioners and the towns of Benson, Clayton, Four Oaks, Kenly, Wilson's Mills, Princeton, and Smithfield for declaring October "Diaper Need Awareness Month" to encourage citizens to donate to diaper banks, diaper drives, and those organizations that collect and distribute diapers to those struggling with diaper need.

We are so grateful to our sponsors and to all that supported our diaper drive. We look forward to presenting a check to PFCJC in the coming months and playing, learning, and exploring at Touch-A-Truck next year -- save the date for November 6, 2021!

JWL in Action: Spreading warmth to children in Johnston County

In November, JWL members collected and delivered coats to Johnston County children through My Kid's Club and the Partnership for Children of Johnston County. Our annual coat drive is one of our most rewarding initiatives. We love knowing that children in Johnston County will be a little warmer this winter. We only wish we were able to see their smiling faces as they open up their new coats.
