Hello friends of The Knitting Studio!  I met a lovely lady this week who has some knitting machines, accessories, books, magazines, and tons of yarn (wool as well as acrylic) for sale!  If you're interested you'll get a chance to see these items before the date of the estate sale.

The above picture is only a tiny hint of what's available.  Some of the items include, Passap Duomatic 80 with Electra 3000 motor, machine knitting stands, one of which is handmade!  Passap Pinkie, brother garter carriage, Knitking Compuknit/st, Singer LK 150, colour changer KHC 820, knit leader KL 116, machine knitting books and magazines, lots of cone yarn, and more!

In order for a knitting machine to perform at its best, it's important for the machine to be clean and well oiled.  Regular light maintenance is also a good habit to get into but if you haven't used your machine in a while or if it's a used machine, there can be a build up of old sticky oil and fibers from yarn stuck inside the carriage, and sometimes in the needle bed.  Other parts may need to be replaced, such as sponge bars, needles, etc.

Whether you're new to machine knitting or you've been using one for years, there's always something new to learn!  With private lessons, you can make a request for the topics that most interest you as well as work at your own pace during the lesson.
