Course & Coaching updates for Training During COVID-19

As everyone tries to keep their superhero mask on straight during this trying time, K9Sensus is offering online group and personal coaching and updating our summer and fall courses.  

What we are up to:

In response to the COVID 19, we are making adjustments to our in-person and online courses. Here is how we are beginning to support the K9 handler/trainer community:

1. Our April courses are canceled. We are adding additional days onto the fall offerings to accommodate those who have registered. All of our courses will remain at the current price and maintain small course sizes. Please register now since we are automatically shifting current registrations into the later classes. Check out the updates here.
    
2.  Our online offerings have significantly expanded in the month of April.
   • I have opened another session of K9 Coaching on the Go. This is a weekly lunch date (virtually) where we get together via Zoom and you ask questions. No formal structure, just a bunch of dog people getting together to talk training. This one is held on Mondays.
      
   • Our CEO is a certified professional coach through the International Coaching Federation.  Register for FREE group coaching sessions on creating your Fortress of Solitude. These weekly sessions are a safe place to focus on you and creating what you need to give your best self. A dog is not required for you to join in these sessions, so share broadly with your friends!
      
   • What's Mission Critical? Defining what behavior is important for your detection dog. This is a new version of Working Dog Foundations and focuses on helping individuals define and develop a procedure for getting the behavior you want. Four week webinar, with homework - $40. Limited to 12 students
      
   • Increasing Commitment to Odor/Trained Final Response. Ideal for those who either are beginning to teach or are having problems with a dogs commitment to odor or their trained final response. Four week webinar with homework - $50. Limited to 12 students
      
3. Our partner, HRD Specialized Training est 2002, is offering one on one virtual mentoring. Make sure to get a spot with some of the best trainers in the business! They are also putting out some great videos on their YouTube channel. 
    
4. Join the K9Sensus Training FB Group. We have a safe place for you to ask questions, share accomplishments and get together. 
    
5. Follow the K9Sensus YouTube Channel. We are creating some new interesting videos around training that you can join in on. Our CEO has signed up for a class and will be sharing her progress in learning some new skills.
    
6. We have the Working K9 Handler Academy courses which are available. We are currently in process of revising them, but don't wait! Our Search Strategy for the Wilderness Dog Handler and Crime Scene Preservation courses are great for those already in the industry. If you have people who are interested in joining the search and rescue community, the Introduction to K9 Search & Rescue course is a great place for them to start.
