Summer Social at Long Hollow Suri Alpacas - Saturday, June 22 Join us for a day of fun hosted by Karl & Jan Heinrich in Gallatin, TN. The date is Saturday, June 22, from 8 am till 4 pm. The agenda includes sorting and grading fiber, a roundtable discussion with industry experts on processing your fiber at a mill, a informative presentation by Long Hollow’s on-staff vet, and a tour of the ranch. Camelid Conference 2024 - Saturday, August 10 Mark your calendars for the Camelid Conference on Saturday, August 10, at the University of Tennessee Large Animal Sciences. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn and network within the alpaca community. The Camelid Conference features a comprehensive agenda: Opening Session with Light Breakfast: The conference kicks off with a welcoming session accompanied by a light breakfast spread. Attendees can enjoy coffee and tea while networking and preparing for the day ahead. Full Day of Informative Presentations: The main focus of the conference is a series of informative presentations covering a range of topics related to Camelids. A more detailed outline of presenters will be sent out closer to the Conference date. Lunch Provided: Participants have the opportunity to enjoy a lunch, fostering networking opportunities and a chance to discuss the morning sessions. The meal will be catered and designed to accommodate diverse dietary preferences. Signup and Payment via TAA Website: The registration process for the conference is streamlined through the TAA website. Attendees can conveniently sign up and make payment online, ensuring a smooth and efficient registration experience. Also mail in forms and payment will be available. Silent Auction: Elevate your conference experience with your support of the silent auction. The funds generated from this event play a vital role in supporting the industry or various related causes. In the previous year, the proceeds from the silent auction were dedicated to backing camelid research and support initiatives in Argentina. Conference Booklet with Sponsorships: Attendees receive a conference booklet that serves as a guide throughout the event. This booklet includes the day schedule, speaker profiles, and valuable information. Sponsorships will be acknowledged in the booklet, providing visibility and recognition to supporting organizations.
Overall, the Camelid Conference aims to provide a well-rounded experience, combining networking opportunities, educational content, and interactive elements to enhance the overall learning and engagement for attendees.
